lol chris..

id get a b16 head. the gsr head requires gsr intake manifold or a bling bling skunk2.

atleast a b16 head can use a b16 or ITR intake manifold.

14.1:1 based on WHAT engine. WHen you start mix and matching ---- all the clearances and volumes change.

if the GSR head has bigger CC combustion chamber than the CR will be lower.

If you'r going to try and get 14.1:1 compression ration on an ls/vtec you are gonna need to go with some wiseco's or another after market brand. Civic Type-R's will only net you 11.9:1 with the B16 head and about 12.1:1 with a GSR head. Tuner Toys offers good deals on SYSC Co. Rod's or even Eagle H's if you've got the money. Don't look for a streetable car if your going that high of compression, unless your going to be running C-16 or another form of race fuel that is over 110 octane. Your compression ration will increase with the GSR head since it leaves less combustion chamber volume, but I'd definately opt for the B16 head. It has better flow and can easily work with any ITR or CTR intake manifold. The GSR head does have larger ports from the factory but the B16 has more capabilities if you'r planning to get some aftermarket P&P work done. As far as cam's go I'd go with the Crower Stage-2 All Motor Rally,Strip cam's and valve train myself if I had the $$$.$$. They have a sale going on right now on them, check it out at www.crower.com Best of wishes with your project, and though turbo offers limitless numbers and power, I'm in love with All Motor for now, maybe someday I'll do turbo....

yea the pistons are from jerrybuiltrcing.com they are called super duper and the pistons alone r rated 14+1+ yea i think i will go with the b16 head cuz there r alot more manifold and other ---- for more convinent and for the cams that site also have cams stage three i think i am gonna go with and upgraded valve train and yea i will have to go with aleast 110+ octane and also the pistons r 86mm i would have to sleeve it right and also the rods will be from that site also

hope you dont plan on running that on the street. 11:1 comp is highest you can go on pump gas safely

i would think 11.5 is streetable maybe even 12 in certian states that carry higher octane at the pump
