ls vtec question
hey everyone, i am rebuilding a ls for my friends 97 integra, and he came across a cheap b16a1. would this head work well foe this car? i know it will work, but i was wondering if it will be a problem to use the b16 intake manifold, since it is not from an obdII car such as the integ it would be going into. would an aftermarket intake manifold be able to fix this if it is a problem?
p.s. great to have the site back.

Re:ls vtec question
I do believe that the B18 intake will bolt to the b16 head W/O an issue. As long as the heads bolt up and the oil pressure line for the VTEC lines up you should be golden. If you don’t have the original intake for the car then you can use the intake off the b16 but you must use the original engine harness for it. But im not sure on it seeing its an OBD 0 (B16a1) intake. I can get you a scan of the OBD1 DOHC VTEC B16a3 intake and you can see if they are alike. Let me know.

Re:ls vtec question
if you do lsvtec you might want to rebuild the bottom end so that the rods and crank shaft can with stand the power the vtec and the long stroke of the ls will give it. if you dont and your friend desides he likes race he is likely to throw a rod clear through the block.
