LOOK!!! ..is this bad?? (pic. inside)
I just recently blew my engine's head gasket and in the process of rebuilding it. It was a pain in the a$$ to scrape off the head gasket, but it eventually came off. I went ahead and check to see if the rings need to be replace and this what I found when I took the pistons out......
Here's what I'm worry about.....
carbon buildup and the piston housing looks like it
was scrape..
This is bad, isn't it..?

looks like it got overheated to me...
And why is all the coolant gone around the sleeves? I see the drain bolt is still in? or was it already drained?

It's a stock D16a6. The engine started with uneven compression about 1 1\2 years ago when I turbo charge it. I was lucky enough to have this engine last me this long while boosting 7-10lbs with a FMU.

i drain the coolant already. Wish me luck guys, I'm engine hunting today @ the local wreck yard.
