ahh yes. "area under the curve". I bet this is a nice little bump thanks to Cam Phasing!

Cam Phasing (for those who don't know) is an Adjustable Cam that is electronically controlled by the ecu. The benifit? Well.. as you know, you can adjust the cams (on bseries) to give more power up high, and loose down low, or gain down low and loose up high. On the fly cam phasing allows the best of both worlds!

Quote from SCC about the jackson racing supercharged k24 w/ rsx-s head "This is the baddest civic we've ever driven". nuf said.

it's very impressive, and yes, anyone with any honda automotive knowlege knows that it will take more than just some some mounts and shift linkage . the fact that your friend has accomplished this is great, but it's kind of fucked up of him not to sell his mounts, if he even designed them himself. however, now that it has been done and is proven, it will be done by people who are not stingy/greedy and will share their information and knowledge with others for FREE, this is how the scene evolves, could you imagine if everyone kept their ideas to themselves and didn't share for the benefit of others? there would hardly be any ls/vtecs, home made turbo kits, si trannies with taller 5th gears, etc. and adapter plates for the hf manifolds would be patented my point is, your boy is an innovative, smart, but a stingy ******, and i hate to bust his bubble, but it won't be long before this swap is availabe for the every day back yard honda swapper

Oh I realize this isnt JUST a simple mount-n-plop, but don't kid yourself that people wont be doing this COMMON PLACE within the next couple years. I've been in the Honda scene TOO LONG to believe that a swap that [will soon be] this popular is going to only be for the elite few.

Im not saying he wont sell the mounts. What I'm saying is that even if you have the mounts you're not close to being done. Im sure if you talk to him he would sell you the complete kit. But its a lot of work. I have personally seen the mounts and they look NOTHING like any mount that I have ever seen. I mean the K motors mount completely opposite as B,D, H and F series. But like i said once you are done with mounting the motor you still have to worry about management, which is totally custom considering there is no fuel return and the fuel pumps we use are made to have one. So if this type of system(open loop)is used with our pump, the pump will burn itself up and push WAY too much fuel through the rail. So a custom fuel system has to be used. After that you still have to worry about wiring which isnt hard for the OBD2 guys but OBD1 guys need a new harness all together because there is no OBD2-OBD1 conversion with this motor(yet). Even after that you still have shift linkage, hydro-cable conversion for most Civics' tranny, and then you have to worry about CV-joints(which from what he has told me were a bitch because he has to get a little custom with). Some of these things aren't a big deal but most of us know that when you start on a project before considering that all those little things add up to a big mess. I know since he doesnt sell the kit RIGHT NOW it seems like he is being stingy, but you have to consider his company developed most of the custom parts and they are still perfecting it. I mean they have only done two of these swaps. Remember when the H series swaps first started...They Sucked!!!! and now they are one of the sickest swaps. Hybrid-Racing is still developing this swap, and remember Hybrid-Racing is a company, so they get paid to make this thing work, but if you want to try and do it I say knock yourself out. But you are going to spend a lot of time "customizing" parts to make them work. So give the guy a little break he's a pioneer in my eyes.

I think you're right, but it might be a while. I mean come on you really think that there isnt someone that will cut every corner and find out every little shortcut just to make their car go faster(HMT ). It just might be a while before people start doing it(like when B series trannies are hard to find or when the word gets out about this thing being absolutely ill) as commonly as we do B and H hybrids now

sorry man, i didn't mean to come across as an *** :P i thought you were basically saying, "no, he won't sell the mounts, no he won't tell you how to do it, if you want it done bring it to him so he can charge you" once again, sorry for sounding rude, and even if he was stingy and tried to be all "top secret" about it, he still gets mad props! a k20 would look sexy as hell in my si

I'll bet money that HASport will offer a kit for this soon, and will dominate this area of the Honda Swap world like they have with every other popular Honda swap.

They are currently working on a kit, it's just a matter of time...
