Default ITR intake manifold on 1st gen b16a, running rich, and has weird idle

I just put a ITR intake manifold on my 1st gen b16a...I used new intake manifold gasket, and reused my trhottle body gasket...now the itr intake manifold uses i newer iacv, and i reused my old one off my old manifold..the old one fits up over the correct holes, but only one bolt will go in....Now i cranked the car up and it smoked really bad, like rich as hell alot of black smoke and smells like gas..the car idles very wierd like from 500-700 up and down sometimes, and sounds like it will cut off, but when i am trvling down the road at wot the car behaves great, the itr manifold is great compared to the stock 1st gen...the engine is stock other than intake manifold...I am thinking it might be the iacv, since the car idles funny, i have checked all the vacuum hoses, no leaks...just wondering anyone think it might be the iacv, anyone had this proble? thanx

Brax, use the ITR Idle air control valve, the plug in is the same and it will work fine with your ecu. You probably have a vac leak since only 1 bolt is going in on the iacv. it needs both to seal correctly.

Also, you did use the same injectors you had in before? and you did hook up the intake air temp sensor?

Yeah i hooked up the air intake temp sensor, and i used the stock 240 injectors from the b16a...I am defintely thinking i need the iacv from the itr, the car was running fine before the manifold swap...i have guy in tampa who is gonna sell me the iacv...thanx for the info..but i checked and double checked eerything, just alot of richness at idle u can see the black smoke, it stinks...but once i start going it goes away, just at idle...so i will get tehe iacv and keep u updated...

Hmm, thats werid it's "really rich" You dont have to get a type R valve either, anything 92+ civic/integra will work, they use the smaller ones. You check for vac leaks? Also is the map sensor hooked up the same?

Yeah sorry about that i meant 92 and above, but i have a 94 gsr fuel rail, stock b16a fuel pressure regulator....i checked the vac lines, no leaks, the throttle body gasket was kinda cracked a little, might be leaking air in? I did bypass the coolant line on the throttle body..the line that runs from the iacv to trhottle body then to head, i ran it straight from iacv to head, it is hot in florida no chance of it freezing up...i will recheck the map sensor when i get off work but i am sure i hooked it up the same way as before i took the original manifold off....The thing i think is the problem is the iacv, it could not be sealing all the way with just one bolt in there...I was wondering if the manifold is pulling more vac at idle than the stock fpr is used to and it is putting more fuel pressure in the rail, so making it run richer, that might be crazy assumption...But i will need to get that iacv, and go from there...Thanx for all the help man..

Does your throttle body have the secondary idle air control valve mounted on the T-body itself?

the manual one?
