A13 is the wire for the CEL on OBD1 cars. Seeing as my EF lacks the diag. jumper, I assume wiring a 3 wire switch grounded to body will make the CEL's flash on my instrument panel.
A13----->-------Switch-------->------A13------>-------ECU

Re: OBD0-OBD1 CEL Diagnosis
LOL that work like ----, just turned my CEL on and off, durrrr
what other wire needs to be jumped in junction with A13? No schematic I have shows it. I need to download the PDF for a EG

Re: How to Check CEL's on OBD1 converted Cars?
well I did that and all i did was turn the light on/off. Maybe I did it wrong,
should it be like this:
Dash-------------->--------------A13--------------------->---------Ecu before
Dash-------------->---------------A13------------------>-----\ disconnected---Ecu
\
\
Body ground
EDIT: D4 is the pin for the service connector, I'll try grounding that instead. I'm wrapping up now to brave the frigid 50 degree temperatures of the Florida coldness. Will report findings when I come back inside, provided I dont die of hypothermia, or carbon monoxide poisoning
or
Dash-------------->--------------A13--------------------->---------Ecu, Unbroken wire

spliced to ground

Re: How to Check CEL's on OBD1 converted Cars?
LOL i was so desperate I took out the conversion harness and plugged in my PG7 just to see if it would flash a code. It didnt
Well after fixing 3 pins on the "NEW" pos Rywire conversion harness i bought from a member here, and catching ------itis after a big lunch, I'm awake and ready to plug all this ---- back up. JLICRX on hondaswap tells me that D4 is the pin for the service connector for OBD1. So in the spirit of common sence, i came up with this:
ECU--------------->D4-----------=======----------->-----A13------------>-------------CEL on dash
On Eg's when the jumper is shorted, the cel flashes on dash, so If I have the circuit for the MIL and the Service connector, feeding the MIL off the serv. conn wire should make it blink accordingly

Re: Im throwin codes, hoes!!!!!!!!
46 is system to lean/rich, 16 is a injector code. I noticed the car was running rich for the past couple weeks, i figured the o2 was on its way out. The code 16 is baffling to me because when I first got this hatch, when it was still DPFI, it had a code 16. Now im on a different harness, engine, ECU OBD1, and im seeing 16 again. I know for a fact im long overdue for a Fuel filter, but that wont cause the ECU to throw a code...maybe a lean code, but not a injector code.
