I'm thinking about getting cams reground.

Well, as most know I have a stock B18A1 and plan to keep it a B18A1, I dont want to spend a fortune on cams but I would like to rev up to 8K and make some power, basically its come down to this, you dont need big PSI or CFM to take the lead, I plan to boost this engine using my Garret T3, its a good size turbo for a 1.8 liter engine, I plan to take boost (8 psi) up to 8K not further since I risk spinning a bearing at thoes RPM's and anything over 8K would require aftermarket internals in the head.

What are some options here? I know I wont have to replace the springs and ---- since its only 500 RPM or so more than stock fuel cut off.

Let me know, The way I see it is 8 psi, up to 8k shift point on a 1.8 liter Turbo Motor with no CAT and in a light CX 4 door, this car should run some nice times at the track. hoping for low 13's, high 12's @ 11 meters below Sea level, since I know a guy that has a B16A2 in a stripped Si EG hatch that runs 13.8 at the track we go to, and thats on street tires too.

Another guy with 8 psi and a D16Z6 ran mid 13's, same type of hatch, so I dont see why I wouldnt be able to get high 12's on slicks.

you should run high 12's without even opening the motor...........

B18B1 with Greedy D series made to fit, 22x8x15 slicks that didn't hook, 12.91 @ 108 mph.......

DElta is really the only company that is less than a 100 per cam. If you go w/ a mild grind stock springs are fine

Is there shops what can grind stock cams? or do I have to go with aftermarket?

Yeah there's delta, and I think Web does it too. Pretty cheap compared to aftermarkter cams like Crower and Skunk2. Where you'd put down your lifesavings to get a set of nice cams.

No way the equipment used is freakin crazy and expensive. Any other cam grinder is 200+ per cam

your not gonna make power to 8k without a cam larger than you can get out of a regrind. id look to crower turbo cams they have 270/235 degrees duration intake/exhaust and .469" lift. you will need new springs though for anything higher than stock redline, stock LS springs suck. also if its a b18a going to a b18b or b20 head/intake setup would be worth your time and effort. intake ports are bigger (about 2mm wider) and the inatke manifold and TB are bigger too.
