I am planning on doing an igniton upgrade and have a few things planned, but are unsure about them.

First since my car has internal coils, I need to buy a coil coversion cap and ----, im getting the crane one. I tried this before, with the extrenal coils, but I wasnt running a cdi ignition, so maybe thats why it didnt work correct??

Then I need external coils and do I need to run a CDI ignition too? I know alot of you guys have done this, so gimme some input...

 

DOnt waste you money on external coil caps, make one. I have done this for ages either using the MSD Power tower or buy a cheap spark plug 1.00, a bolt .50, and some chunk of plasic to inulate.

You end up saving a CHUNK of change and I have done it on cars from 88-98!

 

I did that before, with the msd cap and used a nology ext coil, and ---- got all fucked up, the wires from the int coil became exposed and blew out my fuses, and ruined my coil pack and fucked up my idle...

so when i sell my car some dumb ricer will be like COOL! and i'll say, yeah the car is turbo ready, no ac, ignition up grade and blah blah blah

 

Because the first time I did it I got everything as a gift! Coil, Cap and so on.

As you you wires? Just ROute the cafefully, I have 2 friends with this and NONE of us have ever had this in years, you must suck at wiring!
