Default Idle situation

Hey guys, just got a Q, umm my idle seems to like to stay at around 300-450, now i just changed my oil thinking that could be the problem, it fixed it for like 2 hours then it went back down, when I start the car and am driving for like 5 min it is fine, it idles at about 900, then towards the middle of the drive and i come to a light or stop, it backs down to about 300-450, any idea's? I have a high watt system, and havn't put the capacitor back on so i tried to see if that was the problem, but it still idles low. thanks guys for your time =)

there's a stickied post at the top of the forum. Read it all. good info inside. Heres the link: https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...threadid=12879

My idle was similar.. would stumble and stay at like 400rpm no matter what i adjusted. I changed my ecu and it's been good since. rock solid 900rpm.

Yeah, clean the IACV screen for starters.

Be careful with the idle screw too. Try a 1/4 of 1/2 turn at a time and make notes about what direction you turn, etc... I fucked with mine and it's been good and bad ever since and having notes is like being able to set it back to zero and starting all over again. Something I just can't seem to do.

You said you have a big system.....and the idle goes back up after you drive around for a while....have you tried disconnecting the system and seeing if that helps? alternator?
also adjust the idle screw at the tb. that should help. not alot and yeah, make sure you watch how much.
