Re: Idle air control valve

My car idle bounces from 1500 to 2000 over and over again. it doesn't change when i unplug the connector, i don't think i have a vacuum leak (maybe i will check the IM or the PCV valve) i adjusted the idle speed but even after all that i can't get the idle down anymore than 1400. Can i accurately set my timing with this idle fluctuation?

This problem has been bothering me, especially due to the loud exhaust i have on the car, cuz the idle is loud as ---- too and at every speed.

Re: Idle air control valve

My idle was at about 1700- 2500 and sometimes would stay steady, and sometimes would jump around, I had extremely LOW coolant, filled the radiator, and my idle fell to 1000 and stayd there. :1

My apologies, I cant see whatever pic you posted man, but I just clicked the unread posts link and this thread came up, having expierenced this problem before, I was compelled to respond. I did not realize

1. It was that old
2. That the author had passed.

Again, my apologies. :-[

Please lock the thread.
