I forgot which way the rod goes.
I just got my vitara pistons from the post office, The Little arrow should be pointing towards the timing belt I assume, and since they are being mated to LS Rods, which way does the rod sit? Should the PR4 stamping face the Timing belt or the other way around, The reason I ask is I have a decorative GOLD painted D15 rod with piston in my room, and the oil hole in the rod points toward the backside of the block with the stamping towards the timing belt where as in the LS pistons if the stamping was to face the timing belt the oil hole would face towars the front of the block. Can someone make sure I dont ---- up, thanks.

Was something about how the vitaras reliefs are different form Hondas
Cant even find the ------- thread |
Re: I forgot which way the rod goes.
Try to find it, I need to see this, And the vitara piston does not differ much from the honda one, except the fact that is hase more Oil holes in the piston itself to project oil at the ring.

Re: I forgot which way the rod goes.
oil hole in the rod goes twards the intake side
as for the viteras.... i dunno |
Re: I forgot which way the rod goes.
The bearing tang faces the intake side, and the bigger valve reliefs (if any) go on the intake side as well.
