i feel like a dummy, please help
I'm in central Arkansas and we had some really nice rain today. So much so that when leaving work, I got to drive through a small lake and thanks to the AEM cold air intake that was on the car when I bought it(89 crx si), I now have water in my engine. I am hoping that once I can find someone to help me get it home (towing is going to be quite high I bet)I am hoping that I can take the head off and suck the water out of the chambers and dry it out good enough to get it running without rebuilding. Has anyone ever had experience with this sort of thing? Luckily, I still have my other car which I have been trying to sell (no tags or insurance, though) which I can drive in the meantime. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did it stop running? I'm assuming it did since you towed it? Ouch....good luck to you. Did it still crank over or did it come to a sudden stop?

if it is you are better off being really nice to stealthmode and asking him to give you his spare A^ for the price of shipping. (he probably would) it could be rebuilt yes, but depending on the severity of the damage it mightnot be worth it unless you are lookingto go with aftermarket internals. ---- for all we know right now there could be a rod sticking through your block. get it home, asess the damage anddecide whether it wouldbe better to try and rebuild it or try and get a new one.
