hub and axles

Default hub and axles

i have a 91 4 speed civic i'm doing a d16a6 swap on it do i need to change the 4speed to 5 speed people tell my diffrent storys about u dont need to and sum do.

you can use your stock 4spd axles as long as you keep the stock hubs.

if you want to switch to SI axles, then you need either DX or SI hubs

you can only use CRX DX hubs not Civic DX hubs


Civic Si or EX and CRX Si or DX are the hubs to use for larger axles

Civic DX and CRX DX are the same hubs.......

Its the Civic STD/HF that are smaller 23 spline.

Eveyone calls the STD a DX when it isn't.

i compared my hubs (91 std) to a friends DX and they were the same

part numbers are the same between the CRX DX and Civic DX

maybe there was DX hubs on my car to begin with


did honda ever make a 4-speed DX??
