uhmm thats interesting,i just proved my suspicions. my friend has done a couple of them and he kkeps spinning rod bearings..so i would assume that he is just not torqing them accordinly right?
and ABAZ?? what does the head has to do with it the flow characteristics??

valve springs, cams, flow...
Does your friend use a vtec oil pump??

Meaning valve springs, if you have a ----- valve train something like in a obd0 JDM B16a head (auto) You can get valve float very easily over 8000rpms. The GSR springs and ITR springs do ok 8000-8500.
Keep spinning rod bearings eh, maybe Turbo90Accord4DR built your bottom end
