Jus bought this car first time project 89 crx...
the clutch pedal seems to be a lil too tight you got to use like all of your leg muscles to step on dat bitch...how do i loosen it up a lil bit?

 

its not the pedal its the pressure plate get used to it noob.

 

what do u mean loosten it? make it grab higher or closer to the floor? if u want it to grab at the floor then make the bolt on ur cable bolt loose, if u want it to grab at ur knee's near the dash then tighten the ---- out of it but not to tight or it will be grabbing b4 u even put it in gear.

 

Pop your hood, follow the clutch cable (the one that goes to the arm on the transmission case) to a nut that will screw up or down. screw it up to loosen it. lefty- loosy, righty- tighty.

 

Well it's just the clutch but from my experince the cable should be tiite for accurate shifting.

 

yes, you don't want too much free play in your cable or you will wear out your friction disc too quick- kinda like riding the clutch.

 

too tight and you will burn out the through out bearing. You need enough slack that the bearing isnt touching when released.

i beg to differ... ur saying the opposite... to tight and it causes friction and will cause it to wear out. loosten the bitch up and it wont touch for ---- till u push the bitch to the floor... love driving like that.
