Is ther a way to find out if a JDM B18C is stolen? I don't mean stolen from japan but here in America. Is there anyone outthere who keeps track of non-USDM stolen engines? I'm thinking of buying a JDM GSR from this kid but I have no way of knowing if it's hot. I know it is not USDM because the block reads B18C only. Any help will be highly appreciated.

 

You get papers, well your suppose to. Then you bring them to the DMV so that they know that is now the new engine for your vehicle, and then. If you have the ***** to do it, your insurance company.

For me, I did none of that. Cash under the table. But I bought it from a 40,000 square foot engine shop, not the kid on the corner. Plus he could steal it back from you.

 

I don't think you can, unless when it was stolen there was the block number entered into the police report. Other than that, it's just a motor.

Yeah, it is hot. I asked him with a serious face and he said it was------, the whole car it's stolen. His deal is $1k cash and carry for GSR engine and tranny. ---- that. This is the same moron that will follow me home and later try to steal the ---- back. I was flurting with the idea of buying another GSR, send it to get the internals reinforced for my future turbo set up then drop it in and sell the current GSR I have in my civic. I decided that I don't wanna build my ---- with stolen stuff. I feel it brings nothing but bad luck.

 

who gives a damn if its hot, take off all the vin numbers and ur done, besides its from japan so chances that its registered are slim. half the warehouses of jap engines are stolen. ask for 800 for the tranny and the engine and u got a fucken awsome deal.

 

maan, take that ----, if you didnt steal it, then it doesnt matter, and if its from japan, you can bet its not registered. just make him write you a reciept.

 

Just remember, when you buy from this shitbag, you are contributing to the rising popularity of auto theft. That could be your motor that was taken out of your stolen car he is trying to sell.
