Htuner already tried that. It did not work. I tried it before when i used to help operate superhonda and the owner sold it to modified magazine behind everyones back. We split and started tuner-junction and to this day is still very inactive although the material that is on there is more "good" on that forum than not good. it didnt make superhonda much worse than it already was, a mostly off-topic oriented forum full of members who had very little experience with automotive performance. Sure, many of the moderators were banned because of the move and many members followed. But due to lack of content, at the time, people went back to what is easiest and thus leaving it to die for the most part.

trying to "break" HT just wont happen. It's too big and the mass majority of people dont give a ---- about forum politics. I wish Ht was still the way it was when i first sign on in 2002, but that is not the case. I'm a moderator on there because i believe the idiots of the world need to be told the truth of what works and what does not work and i like having the ability to control what is allowed and disallowed.

i've given up on trying to change how HT operates behind the scenes. It's not worth my time. I'm about to graduate from college and automotives will likely not be my focal point until way down the line when i have money to open a shop the way i want to, no "mechanic" bullshit. I've got better things to concentrate on than trying to create a HT genocide.


what is it going to do to get every like-minded person in one spot? The idiocratic online members will find where everyone went. You cant keep people from signing on unless you monitor each members registration and that is too tedious.

Its not about trying to destroy h-t they are doing that already. If your a mod your part of the problem. If you care anything about the import community you would step away from being part of that community. Has far has correcting information 99 perent of ht users havent ever really done anything mechanical so all your doing is talking to ignorant kids who drive stock automatic civic's who just bandwagon the newest part.

then your slightly blinded by your own faith. the people that actually work on their own hondas around here refuse to utter the name honda-tech. the only people that go to that site here are just like chris says.....stock auto civics......of course i guess i should thank HT.....ive made a lot of cash doing small ---- mechanical work on their cars.......its truly amazing when you make 50 bucks installing a "JDM oil breather" that costed me like 5 bucks.......and i have done that for a couple of people.

When I have questions I don't log into HT. 90% of the time i answer my own question... if I don't I have everything I need in my phone's contact list, or via my email account's contact list. The only one I can think of that I became acquanted with via HT is tony1, frankly I would have found him anyway.

HT is a great place to meet recently ex-automatic Civic drivers who are excited about cars, aka the scene, but don't know a whole hell of a lot... some will take it far, most are dumb as a box of rocks but good people all the same. I respect your opinion that it is a tech site but, meh, the tech there has been posted 85% by people trying to make a buck or two off the masses. You run them off and the forum will die... or turn into SHO, which has always been a bit of a joke.

i dont really care about the civics. Prelude, All Motor, and Engine Management are pretty much the only sections that I post and read. Mostly because those are the sections I moderate. It's rare that I have questions, but when i do I have my contact list as well. I have a very small select group of people that I look to and value the information they freely give to me anytime I have a question. I enjoy helping people that want to learn and not just be told. I'm very very far from having a wide knowledge base like some of you here, but i believe i have a pretty damn good base and is one reason i believe I have been so successful with my own car and I have no problem sharing my experiences with others.

the only people that go to the site are auto civics? Thats not what i see in the All motor and engine management sections. I could care less about the rest of the forum though since it is not in my interest so i dont really know what happens in other sections. I will continue to moderate HT as long as I believe i can fulfill my duties as I become a busier person with a real life. All the behind the scenes, online politics bs is just not something I care about anymore.

If i wanted to make money over the internet, i would not be in school trying to get a degree to do something concrete. The internet just keeps me from being bored between classes, studying, working and drinking.

don't like HT? thats great. dont post there. its pretty damn simple. But just because you dont like it, does not mean that other people have to agree with you and jump on a wagon of bashing HT. I moderate because i want to. not because its a "job".

I posted in this thread to tell people that the majority of the HT staff do not like the changes that were made after mike sold it but instead of puckering our ******** like immature bitches we are trying our best to keep people happy. if you want to jump on us for trying to help for free then so be it. i really dont care.
