Default help my buddy

Buddy piecing together a turbo. Well he decide to take the oil return and run it to the valvle cover. the turbo filled with oil aswell as the charge pipe. He looked like a mosquito insecticide truck spraying. He is not sure which direction the oil return should be facing or really does i matter. He initially thought their would enough pressure for the oil to run up to the vavle cover and dump. He is now running to the oil pan but still the oil return in relation to the turbo is pointing up and he still thinks the turbo is going to fill up with oil and smoke. He could use some help. He will be able to explain more tonight when i see him. He will probably be pissed about me posting but as long as we can get it fixed and the car running.
Thanx
