I'm hoping a "wizz wheel" is a very non-abrasive attachment? That sounds crazy.

It's comming off, but slowly.
I'm using a combination of gasket removal and paint thinner while scraping the gasket off with a metal pudding knife.

 

im an experiened mechanic and i dont want to see you mess up your engine so

1 get a disc for your wizz wheel from 3M its a yellow plastic disc and it wont dig into the metal just keep it moving

2.then use shop air to clean surfaces then spray brake cleaner into a rag & clean

3.then get a straight edge & feeler guage and check the head & block for warpage then install use new bolts if you can afford it

 

i used a wire wheel, it was a softer wire for less abrasion, it was a copper color but i dont remember the material. ----....mabey it was copper.

 

when you put the gasket back on, do your self a favor and buy the 92+ gasket. cost a lil more @ honda, but well worth it.

 

3m makes a gasket remover for the pnumatic angle grinder. looks like a green round comb. about 2" wide. Save your time, and get one. They last 10x longer then the flat angle grinder pads. You are going to remove gaskets for as long as you work on cars.. it's a very good investment. You can clean the headgasket off of the block, and the head, even if it was completly baked on both sides, in under a minute. Turns the most pain in the *** thing to do on a car, into fun.

The pad is about $4, the angle grinder about $20, and you should already have the air compressor. (if you don't, bigger is better)

 

I agree. I have this head gasket and they say you can't blow it. I can't remember if it has like 3 or 4 layers but it is strong. Nothing like factory.
