Default help with building a d16a6 for boost

I'm getting a d16a6, and a zc dohc 1.6 also from a friend of mine. He spun a main bearing in the zc after he pulled the d16a6 from his crx si. He said that the stock si motor ran fine when he pulled it out and apart, but since its out i should go ahead and get the crank resurfaced, and get new main bearings. Also to take the zc pistons and rods out and put them in the d16a6 since they have a little bit higher compression. I was wondering if i had to get new rod bearings when i get the crank resurfaced, and if i should put new rings in it also? I was also wondering if this would be a half way decent set up running all stock minus the pistons and rods from that zc at around 6 lbs. of boost with out an intercooler? If anyone can help i would appreciate it.....

Your going to bump the compression up and run boost? Check this site out. http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/D.htm

That would put your compression at 10.775:1

If you are going to rebuild it you should use new parts instead of swapping rings and ---- from the raped ZC.

Looks good. That should be just fine for 6 psi. You would be better off with that than swapping used ZC parts into it. You could always keep the ZC for a project or sell it.

ya how much do u think i could get for a zc block with a new oil and water pump on it. It doesnt have a head on it, but has a resurfaced flywheel. Im only payin fifty bucks for the si and zc motor. Think i can at least make my money back

Put it in the classified section for $50 and I'm sure someone would jump on it. Depending on where you live since shipping would be pricey if it was too far away.
