Default head studs one at a time

anybody have any luck with this, I've heard of people doing it, just a litle skeptical. got head studs for free and don't really want to buy a head gasket. how would I do that though, put them all in loose so I could still torque them in sequence?

if the seal cracks, sometimes the gasket looses its black coating which can lead to replacing it anyways

I'm a firm believer of do it once and do it right the first time. At least when I'm not broke

You can buy individual studs from ARP, I did with my Teg.

Try it, and if the seal breaks just buy a hg and go for it, it's not like it's that hard to do.
