head studs one at a time
anybody have any luck with this, I've heard of people doing it, just a litle skeptical. got head studs for free and don't really want to buy a head gasket. how would I do that though, put them all in loose so I could still torque them in sequence?

Re: head studs one at a time
if the seal cracks, sometimes the gasket looses its black coating which can lead to replacing it anyways

Re: head studs one at a time
sell them to me for cheap ;D
but seriously dude, a head gasket isnt gonna run u that much... i got my felpro gasket for like $30 at o'reiley's |
Re: head studs one at a time
actually I only have 9, there were only nine in the motor i pulled them out of. I don't supose you can buy just one can you?(arp) a6's would be the same for a d15b vtec right?

Re: head studs one at a time
I'm a firm believer of do it once and do it right the first time. At least when I'm not broke

Re: head studs one at a time
You can buy individual studs from ARP, I did with my Teg.
Try it, and if the seal breaks just buy a hg and go for it, it's not like it's that hard to do. |
