Those tools...you'll use them again.
Maybe you do have blown rings in cilinder 4.
Did you check the valva clearance...you took the head of so you must check the valve clearance and set it right.
Maybe the head needs to be milled though.

 

well i am taking the head back off .... when i did the water test on the #4 chamber while the head was off, i did get some leakage out the exhaust valve ...

im water tesing a dx head right now that came off the original motor that was in the way .... im going to pull the head back off and check the head and the deack with a straight edge and see if i got warpage on my hands.....

and i guess ill take it from there ....

 

ops one last thing did you check the deck on the BLOCK?

 

i guess ill check it when i take the head back off ... how do i check for warpage just get a straight edge and lay it across the block/head?

 

get a REALLY REALLY sright edge and use feeler gauge...
and look for wrapage limit from your lovely manual
