Put an Avid shift linkage on the crx. LS motor/trans. w/ a ls shifter. Everythign is in to spec, and for some goddamn reason, it's not shifting right still. it shifts about like it did when I cut my old linkage down to work.. so i thought my cuts and welds were off and aparently they were probably fine. anyway, It wont stay in any gear other than 3rd or 4th.. cant even find 1st or 2nd.. i think.. ---- is wierd

 

I dont believe so. but i'll change it around just for fun. It will only go into 3rd and 4th.. i cant find 1st 2nd 5th or reverse. I swear i got the linkage installed right.. only thing it could be to my knowledge is the shifter.

 

are you sure the trans is any good to begin with?

 

no i'm not sure. did some research and another guy had the same prob i'm having w/ the avid linkage. it finds 3rd and 4th and stays in fine.. but there's no 1st 2nd 5th or rev.

 

that or just like chris says......trans is ---- an u have no 1st,2nd,5th, or R.

If a tranny goes bad it's usually 1 gear.. not 3, I'm gonna fidangle some more ---- to try and get it to go in other gears.
