the problem with changing just the short block is that i dont have a cherry picker to take the whole engine out.

And any pix of the bearings? So i know what im facing.

what he said.
loosen everything and leave the two side mounts in. lift up the car, slide a little cart or a jack in. loosen the two side mount and slide/drag it out.

i say get a few strong friends, drop the tranny, and lift that bitch out by hand!

or if you cant get the car up high u can get nice colapsable engine hoists at autozone for like only $100 bubcks ... well worth it if your going to be messing around with cars alot
