Default H22a1 VS H22a4

Hey I've been trying to find out, but I can't seem to get much info!

what are the differences between the H22a1 head from a 4th gen prelude (92-96) and the H22a4 Head off the 5th gen prelude (97+)

So are you saying that fundamentally there are no differences?, and that they just decided to put the "a4" suffix instead of the "a1" suffix?

one difference is the way the LMA's (lost motion assemblies) are made. From what I've read on Honda-tech...i know i know.....the ones from the a4 are thought to be a little better....I honestly can't say yes or no.

Also from what a buddy of mine with somewhat of a hybrid h22 in his hatch tells me..the a4 head runs a little quieter.

Other than that, castings are the same...

yeah for a different chassis. think about it b18a1/b1 not much of a difference except for the suffix. different years is about the only difference worth mentioning
