Hey I've been trying to find out, but I can't seem to get much info!
what are the differences between the H22a1 head from a 4th gen prelude (92-96) and the H22a4 Head off the 5th gen prelude (97+) |

So are you saying that fundamentally there are no differences?, and that they just decided to put the "a4" suffix instead of the "a1" suffix? :S :S

Re: H22a1 VS H22a4
one difference is the way the LMA's (lost motion assemblies) are made. From what I've read on Honda-tech...i know i know.....the ones from the a4 are thought to be a little better....I honestly can't say yes or no.
Also from what a buddy of mine with somewhat of a hybrid h22 in his hatch tells me..the a4 head runs a little quieter. Other than that, castings are the same... |
