well it's entirely possible that I can be confused at the weight of these cars as I only play with second to fourth generation civics, but even a d16a1 will smoke the hell out of the tires on my buddies 86 crx

 

my 97 Sol with me in it weighed the same as a 99 civic SI with my friend in it. there not that heavy compaired to a teg or a full size civic.

Bah, the sol is lighter than a civic coupe or sedan, and comperable to a hatch depending on what you have in it. eg B series engines are heavier than D's, AC compressor, air bags, etc etc.

CRX's are lighter than sols because of the crash bars and the removable targa, plus sound deadening and all that other stuff.

Everything else except for an insight or a city is heavier.

 

IMO you wanted both.
hands him 600 cash, build a B20vtec. then sell the gsr block while you still make $$$$.
oh well that`s if he only wants 600 bucks. :P
