Default CRV 2.4L dohc i-vtec engine...

I was surfing the net and work today and came across the specs for the 2nd gen CRV engines(also in the 2003 accords). This thing puts out 160hp@6000 and 162tq@3600... that's some nice torque for a honda engine. You guys heard of anybody doing this swap in a CRX or Civic? Looks like it would be a fun turbo project for a drag car.

LOL. "Big block"

That would be some good torque, but I think it would be a little too tall. I'm not sure.

isn't it a PIA to get a 2.0L in a rex, can't imagine trying to cram a 2.4L in there. "Don't open the hood, we may never get it closed again!"

Modify the hood so it has a huge scoop It would be well worth it I'm sure if you could cram that thing in! A turbo on an engine like that would be insane.

Yep, but isn't it one of those new K series engines. Looks like it, I'm sure that down the road you would be able to fit it in an older civic, but right now maybe only on the new Si or RSX, but then again, why do it for similar numbers. I'm sure with enough money you can do anything, hell they fit NSX engines in Crx's and hatchbacks, so I guess it could be done.
