B16 has a better R/S 1.74 compared to the GS-R 1.6?
B16 is a little bit lighter and has more potential, far more than the GS-R. Plus you save 800 bucks. Use that money for some serious management and you will not even think about that little 200cc difference when your boosting 10 pounds and running better times.

...there's no replacement for displacement..go with tha 1.8

I think that it really depends on what you are setting up for. You may not need more than the B16, but I agree with the displacement argument. You could even stroke to a 2.0. I say just look at what you are wanting to do with the car.

There is replacement for displacement, it is called tuning, and boost. Having a bigger engine isn't all its cracked up to be.

i agree, bigger isnt always better......those b16's will suprise the hell out of a gsr. Seriously, gsr's are NOT that much faster if any!! for the extra cash, you get bigger displacement but does it really matter when you're still neck and neck with a b16??......if you want to waste the $$, go for it, but i still say b16
