Default generations matter if going turbo?

Will it matter if I get a b16a1 or b16a2 if I'm jsut going to get new pistons and rods when I turbo it anyway? Are the opiling improvements alone worth the extra $$$? The revised cam won't matter either cause I'm gonna have extensive head work done..

Well it really depends on what car you are putting it into more than anything. Example, a B16a (obd0 SIR) is a better to be in a obd0 88-91 civic 90-91 teg, and the B16a SIRII (obd1) is better to fit in OBd1 cars like EG 92-95 civics, Just because all of the electronics (dizzy/injectors etc) are designed to work with that car. As far as any engine advantages one over the other from the different versions, there really isnt much. The SIRII has better cams, and a little bit better valve train. But if you are going to be rebuilding it, either one will be fine.
