I can't get my damn pass side half-shaft out the god damn tranny. i spent about 30 min allready i tried a big screw driver, hammer, chisel, anything in the god damn garage. any suggestions? i already searched and i'm gonna get a pry-bar tonight, but an other suggestions would help. thanks

 

LSD?

hammer and pointed prybar, enter from the drivers side axle opening.

Be CAREFUL not to try to drive the diff thru the side of the case, because you CAN!

i just had it out in july too, and it was a bitch then.

 

this happend to me on my car too...it sux, i just took a 2-1/2 foot pry bar and wedged it in there then i used an air hammer on the prybar itself to kinda vibrate it loose...worked real good, also u could try a tie-rod fork, those work wonders too, good luck

 

Do you need the axle out? last time i pulled the tranny, i just pulled it with one side still in

 

well with the HMT HD Crash i'll repost.
i got it out with a chisel, i put it between the inner cv and trany hit with hammer, popped right out.

 

air hammer always works good for me, best tool you can buy :P

 

crow bar allthe way. just go a little bit at a time. the air hammer was a good idea

 

Why the hell was it so hard to get out? I just finished changing a clutch today and once I unbolt the half-shaft I can pretty much slide mine out with little effort
