The motor has all high end parts on it....probably stolen. I am just at a complete loss as to how that can happen? I was getting some white smoke before it stalled out. I thought I might have blown some ring lands but I wouldnt be regestering even compression would I? I tested the compression on a cold motor open header with the throttle plate open. Car should start with no header on it correct?

U= fail. Where are you located, maybe some one is local to you.

Well I have built a couple of motors of motors in my day including swap but this work isnt mine. The car is wired in with a mustang throttle body and a 3 bar map sensor. My point is even if the ringlands are blown 150 psi should still fire up. What about alternator? Would the car start with a bad alternater?

Check the main relay, its a common problem with civics, causing intermittent starting problems although nothing else seems to be wrong.

and the car will still start up with a bad alternator so long as the battery is fine, just you won't be able to drive far as the battery will die :P
