Ok, the price went up-but still cheap.

302 with a F.A.S.T. will work nicely.

ya like everyone said the 5.0 OHV and the 4.6 OHC engines dont have the same mounts or anything like that.

id go with whatever motor the kit you buy is for.

on the site it says the kit can facilitate a 5.0 ford v8 or 302 or and ford efi 281 or 302 small block. Im getting a 281 4.6 out of a thunder bird for free w/ the rear end so I want to try and make it fit.

What kind of numbers do you think I can put down w/ a ford small block?, i'm mostly a honda guy.

If you go with a 4.6 mod motor than your limited to about 400whp before you start snaping rods. The 5.0 is good to around 500whp than the block splits down the middle. The mod motor is more economical if you want to go above 500hp

ok, I called the company and they said I couldnt use the 4.6l but a 302 or 351 5.0L will work and they make a custom vortech to fit w/ the 5.0 into a miata.

I was thinking to Twin Turbo the setup. I think 450whp is a good gaol on a 5.0

at 450 I would have the block braced across the top, and if your going to go tubo, bo with a big single turbo

Those braces are snake oil. Some people say they help and some say they just help to hold all the broken pieces in a pile. I personally feel they do not do anything and are snake oil...

i think 500+ hp in a ------- miata will be a sick ------- car. probably scary to drive. a guy by me (PA) has an efi 302 in a first gen.. with the vortech supercharger your talking about. also has 10" rims on the back, he said it ran 12.80 something spinning the tires literally the whole way down the track. pretty badass, but a miata is still a girs or homosexuals car.
