f22b vs h22a1
I was wondering what would be the better motor to swap in my 91 accord if im going to go turbo. i was kinda of leaning towards the f22b because of price, im wondering if i went with the f22b would it be a good to build and run N/A

Re:f22b vs h22a1
If you got the money and time thats a no brainer. H22 for sure. Its a little bit heavier but worth the extra grunt. and it will last alot longer and probably give better hp #s

Re:f22b vs h22a1
Definitely go for a JDM H22A motor, get the mid 90s model because I believe they were all closed deck (so you won't need to worry about sleeving the block).

Re:f22b vs h22a1
Is the f22b a pretty good motor to turbo, i can get one for a grand with ecu, tranny, and wire harness

Re:f22b vs h22a1
its not the fact that its cheap think most companys don't make parts for f series honda motors . What does that tell you ::)

Re:f22b vs h22a1
just turbo the f and save cash for the h22a. when your ready for the h22a youll already have all the parts to boost the h22a.

Re:f22b vs h22a1
Are the manifolds the same for the H/F series?
|
Re:f22b vs h22a1
boost the f22 from what i hear there strong motors besides the h22 isnt ideal for boost ive got a few freinds that blew there h22s and are gonna go f22 now and wish they never bought the h22s.

Re:f22b vs h22a1
The closed deck H22s were a much better platform then any other Honda engine for boosting. If it wasn't such a pain in the ass, thats the route I would have gone in my car.
