Hi i have a 2000 h22a4 block and was wondering if a f20b head will fit is it does are there mods i need to make or is it a dorect fit and will it still make 200hp??

let me get this straight... you have a H22 bottom end and you want to put an f20b, as in the S2000 cylinder head on it? Or was there a 2 liter accord motor i don't know about. why? seriously

F20B is an Accord SOHC Vtec engine. F20c is what you're thinking of jdmf2k

I'm not sure I've ever heard of anyone putting the F20B head on an H22 block. I've heard of F22B (Not sure of the differences, if any) on H22 and H22 heads on F22B blocks, h23, f22a, etc etc etc

I'd say look/ask around. It's not going to be a simple drop on and go head swap though. From what I've seen with other head swaps like this you'll need to mix and match between different things from both engines.

My first Question is why in the hell you wouldnt just put an H22 head on it. They are relatively cheap, available, and would cause much less problems for you. A H22 head (stock) can be had for 200-400 complete. If youu already have thge f20 head you could sell that, cover costs ansave a headache.

there are many f20's.

f20a dohc and sohc(both non vtak)
f20b dohc vtec(sir accords)
and f20c, which is the s2k engine.

if this guy is talking about the dohc f20b head, then it the SAME as an h22 head.

Yes im talking about the dohc f20b vtec (BLUE TOP)i think its from an accord i have the head sitting in my room doing nothng and i have a h22a4 head and block but needs a valve job so not sure but might be easyer just to put the f20b vtec head on it is it a dorcct bold ?? or any mods to make it fit

F20b is found in the 96-00 Euro accord Type-R's, Dohc fwd, super high revving motor, can handle 9k revs easy, no BS h22 sleeves. i did a ton of research when i was debating putting this or an h22 into my DA. it was the precursor to the f20c and f22c

i know that u can use the h22 clutch and trans on it, as well as engine mounts. Im not sure as head fitment, or why u would want a high rev head on ur low rev h22. imo this is a much much better engine than the h22, even with the .2 less

get the f20b and the trans (which most came with lsd), put some boost on it, and run trains on the world like its ur bitch

the 215hp version is very hard to come by. That is the manual lsd version.

the ones most people have are the 180hp auto versions.

the heads are the same, just look at the stamps on the castings.
