engine "Lags" at random

engine "Lags" at random
i know this is a pretty stupid question, but ill ask anyway :P
since im selling my car over the weekend, latley ive been beatin on the motor hard (constantly hitting redline) anyway once in a while in all gears it feels like somthing is really holding it back, the rpms clime very slowly even at wot, if i let it idle for 10 seconds or so it goes back to normal. Now its a N/A jdm d15b if it matters...any help is appreciated
