Electronic Ignitions & boost
I'm still trying to learn what are the reasons I do (or don't) need an electronic ignition like a MSD 6A. It's a ZC with turbo and will be boosting 10 - 12 psi. I have a ZDYNE gold. What is the MSD or Jacobs doing for me that the stock one with the zdyne can't do? Should I get the MSD coil as well?
Thanks guys!

Re:Electronic Ignitions & boost
Since you have the SECU, you wont need the timing retard device with the aftermarket igntions, but it does help a little bit to get a better spark with the aftermarket igniton systems like MSD.. I have used MSD & Jacobs, and honestly I cant tell a damn difference, MSD has been around longer and is a "bigger" of a name in igniton systems. So I have always like their stuff, not to mention they fixed a few things under waranty for me
It isnt manditory to have one, but they are nice to have, I do recommend just getting the external coil and msd pro cap if you are going to do the full swap.
The MSD 6al will be just fine...
