I have a 1990 honda civic si hatch. I blew the d16a6 a while back, then i paid for a zc head and
block from a local shop then just put the manifolds on the zc motor.

my Question is.. which ecu do i use for that motor.

Right now iam useing the ecu from the original motor that was in the car (D16A6). the main
reason for this question is because i am wasting TONS and TONS of gas, and from what i understand
is that the zc head has a faster cam in it.

I come to this site to find all of my automotive questions and to help out anybody out if i am
able to. Some of u guys that have responded to my posts in the past have been real helpful
and i thank them for that.

 

pm6 should run your zc fine but you want either a pm7 dohc zc jdm ecu or pg7 usdm 88-89 teg ecu

 

Or chip the PM6 or let someone chip it for you

 

the pm7 dohc zc jdm ecu will work for my motor even though it is a single cam? i didnt know that
was possible. How hard is it to get a hold of one of those ecus? How much difference will it have on
the car than if i were to use the pg7 usdm 88-89 teg ecu? Would i be able to pass smog with either
of those ecus? I kmow some guy on here chips ecus, whats his name and would that be a better way
to go.

Come on guys plz help me out, ive been wasting hella gas. If i could get those last
questions above answered ill be able to figure out what iam going to do about this
problem. OHHH yah and by getting the right ecu in my car will that be able to fix my
gas guzziling issue i have.
