ive been posting on my 90 civ zc hb for quite sometime now.
on my fukin birthday the pos died on me an hour away from home. ive always had this problem when i warm the car up or drive it for some time the bitch wont start up after you turn it off. i have to turn it off and on as many as 15 times but normally 4-7 times it will fire up. when i turn it off and on i turn the key to start let it turnover for a second or 2, then ill turn it completly back the off position. well this particular time i left the key in the acc position and turned it over like 3 times.
then KLICK everything died no power nothing. checked fuses and wiring all ok. i left it there overnight and came back in the morning and i had power i could turn on lights, hell the wipers came on. i went to start it then it hapened again. KLICK. any info main relay? dizzy?

 

can you hear the fuel pump priming? Mine does that too. I have traced it down to a main relay because my dist is BRAND NEW.

change the Main relay. Located beside the fuse box under the steering wheel.

Id just kick the ---- out of it and the see if that bitch wants to act up. Thats how I handle most of my car problems.

When you say click does all the power go off? Have you checked youre terminals.

 

sounds like terminals to me, or maybe a bad main ground.

 

i had the same prob yesterday
i located it to negative battrey termnal loose

 

sounds like ignition or starter.

 

this happens to me a lot cos im too lazy to tighten up the negative wire on the battery
