i looked at both the heads it looks like it will fit.thats my next project.i don't think d series blocks have changed in 2003.anybody did this yet lmk if this works.

it will work after you change the the timing chain setup of the 7th gen to the belt of the 1st through 6th gen civic setup. your best bet would be use the d17 bottom end and your vtec head in an older gen civic so you can use the correct ecu for vtec.
