Re: d16z6 TT rods in a d15b block?
Mista,
Isnt the d15b head the same cast as the z6 head? So that puts me on the safe side. I tried using a calculator to check the static compression, without luck. Do have any idea what kinda compression that would make?
Thanks
Nick

Here is my calculation which could be wrong
d15 has a 75.00 x 84.5 bore/stroke
ccv 34.60cc
Piston Dome Displacement for vitaras = -12cc
and the compression ratio comes out to 8.35:1 Does this sound right?

Ya if the D15B was 9.2:1 in stock form. It is actually closer to 9.6:1. The P08 pistons have less of a dish than P28s.
Vitaras have a higher comp height too, so some of that extra dish is being taken away.
I run LS/Vitaras in my D15B.
