I'm new to the whole swapping deal, and I'm putting a D16z6 in my del sol. I have a 93 s, to its got the pos d15b7. Now, to my q's.

1. Will I need a guage cluster off a si del sol (one that comes with a z6)? or will mine still work? I want it to be accurate still because I'm not putting a ricer tach on it. I will more than likely be using a ex transmision, if that will throw it off its still a little confusing to me.

2. the whole vss thing, well its just confusing, any good writeups or articles?

2. I can convert my ecu for vtec no problem, is it right then that I will have to run ony 1 wire to the solonoid? (I'll do some more research on this, just figured I'd ask)

3. All the motor/transmision mounts should be the same correct?

Any tips or pointers will be greatly appreciated, I'm pretty much tackling this myself. I've pulled the motor out of an integra but that wasnt a swap.

 

the cluster wont be affected.
either vss will work accurately.
get your ecu converted for vtak.
you wont wire anything...just make sure your using the z6 engine harness.

 

I dont/wont have a z6 engine harness

 

just run the VTAK wires from the correct ECU pins then.
