D16z6 Engine Problem Help!
I have a 95 Civic EX w/ a D16Z6 VTEC engine. I just went to oil changers today to get my engine oil changed. (Yeah, I'm lazy) But anyways, I think when they changed the oil on my car they forgot to tighten the oil filter on the engine. So I drove the car with no oil!!!! :wthhh:
My oil check light did not turn on. I'm not sure why. But anyways, i realized when my engine started having knocking sound. I knew then something wasn't right. So i pulled over. Turned off the engine, pop the hood, I soon realized that oil was everywhere. Took a closer look, those guys that did the oil changed did not tighten the oil filter. So i checked the dipstick, no oil!!! Luckily I had 3 extra quarts of oil in my trunk. Poured the oil in, tighten the oil filter. Started it back up. The car just starts, then just dies off. And I think i heard knocking really loud. What do you think the problem could be? ----, luckily i have another commuter. |

well your engine is fucked i'll tell u that.
No oil + knocking = spun bearing(s). need new crank, rod(s), bearings and machine work. make THEM PAY. ;D |
