Y7 is the motor in the 96-00 Civic HX, I believe, it is a SOHC vtec but enviromentally friendly, meaning you get less power, goes down from the 127 of the y8 to 115 I believe. Anyways, If i'm not wrong 96 and up cars are OBD2, So he could go OBD1. I think

It is an OBD2 non-vtec SOHC engine. I am making a harness to go to OBD1, so that I don't have to be restricted by the second O2 sensor and can change the wiring harness around.

You are all correct, my Hayes, pep boys manual, says D16y5 Dx, D16y7 Hx and D16y8 Ex. But with a little research on the web I found out the truth, or what you guys were saying. OK. I'm also Planning on making a harness, I found a Conversion Table that tells you wich pin is which on the conversion. It is on their Website, tech section.

This might help you, not sure if you already have this. I looked everywhere and the cheapest already made conversion harness was about $185.00.
