Hey i have a question. i have the opportunity to get a D16A6 out of a crx si at this junkyard where im from. what would be a good price for the block and head. would that motor bolt up to my D15 tranny? or should i get the tranny with the car too? let me know what i should and what a good price is for the motor itself and or with the tranny.

I woudnt pay no more than 250 for the block and head. Any cable D series trans. can be interchangable. A good Si trans. will usually cost no more than 100-125 or so.

 

dont pay more that 250 for both the tranny and engine.there so easy got get, i practically have to give those things away mang....

 

um the car 170k on it and i plan to rebiuld it with forged internals. if i am doing that, should i get new valves and stuff to? what kind and how much? and also considering the motor and tranny have 170k on them, and my d15 has 90k should i stick with my tanny and the d16 or just get everything out of the crx?

nope this is the only civic let alone honda at this junkyard. i think the guy is gonna give it to me for 15 bux and 25 for the tranny? is that a good deal?

the last a6 i had i gave to bambooseven and i had to trash trash a d15. ill be sure to post if i come accross more thogh.

 

man i need at LEAST a spare a6 head that just needs re-honed and pistons and rods... so an a6 block with the crankshaft that is in perfect condition.. but everyone i talk to wants like 50 + shipping for just the block. shipping is going to be lik 75 for ground. so if you come across just the block and crank let me know.. also check over it to see if theres any warpage or cracks... thanks!
