Default d16a6 or d16z6??

well....I found a d16z6 engine no tranny for 300 in good condition (owned by an old person) or a d16a1 with lots of miles and tranny for 150......what we work best for a high boost built application? Is the v-tec worth the extra cash.

Go with the z6, they are worth it. Or if you wanted to, just put a vtec head on the a6. The rods in a z6 are supposed to be stronger than an average d series

vtec head + a6 = high compression

All d-series rods suck *****. There are no "better" stock d16 rods.

I rock the a6 with a regrind cam and eagle rods/SRP pistons. F*ck vtec!
