d16a1 intake on d15b2
I have a friend that want's to do the dpfi to mpfi convertion on his car. We cannot find any Si's in the area, but there are a lot of old integras with the d16a1 engine. Would it work, are all the sensors the same. I have heard here that you can use an any of those ecu if you can't find an Si one for ZC or d16a6 swaps. is this correct?

Yeah, me too that's why I asked. Can't find an Si anywhere. I'm gonna have to go ebay on that ----. I have the factory Z6 intake manifold, it's OBD1, would that manifold and sensors work with an Si ecu. I don't think so. Could I use the actual manifold, with the Si sensors and injectors, like would they fit. I think the Z6 intake is bigger than the Si. Anyone know

Yes, the Z6 will work perfectly. As long as you have everything on the manifold. This includes throttlebody, EACV, IAC.. and such.
There is a debate on whether the Z6 or the Y8 intake is better and so far I have come to this conclusion through my readings: Z6 is good for N/A applications to do it's longer runners. This will create more velocity.
A Y8 intake manifold is used on turboed applications due to it's larger plenum and larger runners. This enables more air to physically enter the chambers. Since it's being forced in due to the turbo (or centrifugial supercharger) it doesn't need the velocity that an N/A applicaiton would need....

Will it work with an Si or Teg Ecu? No mods required.
I do have everything. The engine came with everything, but the guy that helped me swap it in told me it would not, so now I have a z6 with a dpfi intake manifold. It runs, but of course not as good as it should.

Si dizzy will work fine, if your still OBD-0... The Z6 intake will work fine. To be honest, you'll prob. be like WTF, if your using dpfi on a vtec motor !!!
I did a MPFI swap about a year and a half ago, and I FREAKED over the power gain !! Then I got a zex kit, and the MPFI swap didn't seem like such a big deal anymore, but it was.
PS. If the Z6 is better for "All-motor", then I'd trade my complete ( ALL sensor etc. ) for a Y8 manual intake. I'm going turbo.
