Default D16a runing lean

SO i swaped a d16a in to a 99 ex that had the d16y8. Hooked it up got it all running and what not, now its throwing the 45 or whatever it is for running lean.

Any ideas, or is this something that is common and i just don't know the solution. maybe different size injectors, or some ----.

I replaced the fuel filter, and the the vacuum line to the fpr had a whole in it, but after i replaced both of those and reset the ecu it still threw the same code.

are there different size injectors in the d16y8 then in the d16A

d16a are you talking about like the d16a6 obd0 si motor?? if so you need to swap in your stock injectors or some from a y8 at least

no its a d16a obd2 motor. This isnt a performance build, just replacment of an blown engine.

And yes im using the y8 ecu. But now im assuming that is no good. Would useing the injectors from the y8 work, they are difrent, and im afraid the little plastic peices on the tips will fall off and burn a valve.

You need to be more specific, what exact engine (code) do you have? d16y8, d16y7, d16a6, d16z6?? Depending on what engine you replaced your blown on with you may need to run different ecu, injectors, etc....kinda hard to help if we dont know what engine your working with here
