Default D16 internals

This might sound stupid....

are all D16 internals the same?

main question
*will the crank/pully from a y7 work in a Z6 block*

also, I read somewhere once, SRP pistons wont swap between a y7 and z6 blocks. the are both the same bore, so why wouldnt they swap

anything else i should pay attention to when swapping internals between a y7 and a z6?

I could also go a6 right? that should all swap to...

all d16 parts fits d16..i have used a6 cranks in y8,z6, and y7's..the pistons and rods fit without a problem...i have used 1.5 pistons in a d16...only thing i found that don't really intercahnge is the oil pump..i also have used y8 rocker arn assemblys on a z6 head..also the cams swap out..hope this helps..

yeah, thanks.

i think i will just pick up another block and go from there, swap everything out, get the block hottanked/ honed clean it up real nice.

-just swap everything one for one. if i have to get a new oil pump, ohh well.

I'd lean towards getting a new 92-95 oil pump rather than a obd2 oil pump.

Just be sure to use the 88-95 oil pan and you will be fine.

Will a d15b crank work in a d16?

I have heard yes and no. Might as well ask the pros.
